1VERSE is a five-member group, but only three are currently promoting. Hyuk has been on hiatus since September 2025, and Seok since May 2026, both for personal/health reasons — though Seok still shares a songwriting credit on the new track.

The concept: turning frustration into a groove

Songwriting and composition credits go to Kenny, Nathan, Aito, and Seok. On the production side, "LOOP" reunites 1VERSE with Adrian McKinnon, who previously worked on the group's "SHATTERED" and "WABIF" and has past credits with EXO, SHINee, and NCT 127. Skylar Mones, known for his work on Dua Lipa's "Future Nostalgia," also joined the team, with Normal Logic on visual direction, Team SAME's Jongho and Tamjin on choreography, and Cano directing the performance.

"LOOP" is built around an unexpectedly relatable idea: the itch to keep trying after losing at a claw machine. Singing Beetle CEO Michelle Cho described the song as capturing that cycle of anticipation and disappointment that gets harder to walk away from with every attempt.

Nathan connected the concept to that same arcade instinct — the reluctance to quit even when you know you should. Kenny went further, explaining the track partly grew out of his own claw-machine insecurities, which he says he worked through by training with a professional arcade player until he managed to win two prizes for under 20,000 won.

The production leans into that same push-and-pull: bit-crushed, arcade-style electronic textures and a rising tension that mimics a video game boss battle, with a recurring signature sound tying the "loop" concept directly into the track itself.

A big summer for 1VERSE

The comeback follows an August 20 teaser that already had fandom 5TARZ buzzing, then a milestone show at Gamescom in Cologne on August 29 — 1VERSE became the first K-pop act invited to perform there — followed by a set at Asian Revolution in Mainz the next night.

"LOOP" is out now on all major streaming platforms, with more from 1VERSE expected on their official social channels in the coming days.
